Review: I have no idea what prompted me to seek out foundation when I did (although I’d bet my entire make-up/skincare collection it was because of an episode of Get It Beauty I watched). But I did, and I came across this. Since it was on clearance at The Body Shop, I figured it wouldn’t be a big loss if I didn’t like it or using foundation at all. I liked how easy it is to blend (the picture on the right taken to show the shade more than it’s blendability). I found that it was much easier to blend by just using your fingers. Using a foundation brush made it look like the brush left streaks (I don’t know if that was due to the brush I was using or my hawkeye), but using your fingers also keeps the product at body temperature and helps with the blending. The one thing that I really don’t like about this is the scent, the olive oil scent isn’t strong, but it is very noticeable. As I would go through the day, I would always catch a whiff of the scent. Other than that, this is just your normal run of the mill foundation. I wished it had SPF as well so that I can opt to use it more on its own rather than applying it on top of sun cream or BB cream. The bottle itself is simple and contains a lot of product (1 pump of foundation was way more than enough product for one application for me). So if the Body Shop ever re-stocks these on their website or you’re lucky enough to find it in one of their stores, grab one and take advantage of its great value!
